Thank you to Plank Stewardship Initiative for sponsoring registration for our high school students to attend the Ranching for Profit economics workshop hosted by the Ranchers Stewardship Alliance and instructed by Dallas Mount.
Our students got an opportunity to attend a two-day finance and economics workshop aimed at improving business practices on an ag operation. Students got to learn about understanding overheads and direct costs, enterprise analysis, calculation of gross margin and how to apply it, developing and economic plan, and testing if the plan is economically feasible.
While the topics covered focused on ag operations, many do the principles taught can be applied across many industries. We are thankful for this opportunity for our students!
