Malta Elementary School was awarded a $500 grant to use toward Library materials. Thank you to the local members for their support!

We are pleased to announce that "The Truth About Today's Marijuana" presentation originally scheduled for March 18 has been rescheduled for September 17. More information will follow as that date draws near but there will be student presentations and a presentation for the public as well. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience but are excited that it will take place this fall.

Missoula Children’s Theater starts tonight at the Malta Elementary Gym. Initial auditions will take place tonight from 3:45 pm to 5:45 pm in the MES gym Please pick up your child from the south doors at the MES elementary gym. Parents can come around 5:30-5:45 to hear the casting call. Most students will be done at this time. If students are needed for the second half of rehearsals, they will be notified around 5:45 pm tonight. This will be about 20 of our students. Because of the short notice, food will be provided for these students staying late ONLY for tonight. Please plan on bringing food for the rest of the week. Each student in the play will receive paperwork tonight to clarify practice times based on their role. The students needed for the second half of rehearsals will be there until 8 pm. Practices for the rest of the week will be located at the MHS auditorium. Performances are Friday at 6 pm and Saturday at 11 am in the MHS auditorium.

FCCLA was in Bozeman for their state convention. Congratulations to McKinley and Ashlynn who finished in First place level 3 Focus on Children with their project on The Importance of Breakfast in Daily Nutrition. Great to them and the entire team.

Mr. Estill's STEM/Engineering Principles tested their bridges today. Students designed the bridge and then added sand until it broke. On March 13, the Malta Board of Trustees voted to adopt a 4 Day Week for Malta Schools starting in the 2024-25 school year. When the 2024-25 school calendar is approved and as other details of this transition are finalized, we will share that information accordingly. We appreciate all of the public input throughout this process and thank you for your continued support of our students and schools.

Congratulations to our student-athletes! Neva Jacobson, Denvyr Tuss, Bohdi Brenden, and Treyton Wilke all receive 1st team all-conference honors, as well as all-state selections. Elly Anderson and Dawson Hammond received 2nd team all-conference honors.

Congratulations to the M-ette basketball team on a successful season. Our girls concluded the season with a district championship, divisional championship and a state semi-final appearance. We are incredibly proud of your hard work and determination. Thank you Seniors for your leadership and years of dedication. You have made a lasting impact on our community.
